Shoigu said that residents of taiga and other areas with difficult conditions “can build a house out of wood and a bathhouse, and they can plant, harvest, cook and ride horses.”
He did not explain the skills these people taught the Spetsnaz soldiers.
Zvezda TV said the training will take place during trips to Tuva. Shoigu himself comes from this republic, which is part of the Russian Federation and is located in Eastern Siberia. In recent years, the media have revealed the joint voyages of Shoigu and President Vladimir Putin via the catamaran taiga.
