Five more deaths from Coronavirus were confirmed in Joint Stock today by Public Health Wales, along with 349 other cases.
The numbers show the total in the region since the start of the pandemic now stands at 488, according to Public Health Wales.
399 cases were also confirmed in Joint in the past four days, bringing the total since the start of the epidemic to 16,558.
The confirmed deaths today in Gwent are among 24 deaths across Wales, the total number now stands at 2,695, again according to Public Health Wales 1,645 new cases are confirmed across Wales today.
Gwent’s latest reported case is: Caerphilly, 111; Newport 134; Plainau Joint, 53; Turphine, 63; Monmouthshire, 38.

The weekly traded case rate in Wales – for the week ending December 2 – rose again, to 262.3 per 100,000 population.
Blaenau Gwent’s current weekly case rate is no longer above 500 per 100,000 (478.1), and is now behind Neath Port Talbot (509.4 per 100,000) as the second highest in Wales.
Torfaen’s current weekly case rate is back below 400 per 100,000 (371.4).
The latest Newport price is 352.3, with Caerphilly (341.8). The current weekly case rate in Monmouthshire remains above 200 per 100,000, at 245.3, but it remains the only one in the five Gwent Council areas still below the rate for All Wales.
