However, there is a possibility that Pegasus will soon stop being so effective. US security expert – Jonathan Scott – Deploying an Android app on GitHub in version 5.1. This was reportedly brought to him by the VXUnderground group, which specializes in malware collection and research. They have been validated by Recorded Future, a company that deals with security issues.

The expert published the app because he wants analysts around the world to have the opportunity to investigate the Pegasus malicious code. In doing so, he wants to stop the program or, at worst, slow down its performance and development. would it be possible? We’ll see that in the future, but the appearance of the code could be a turning point.

Chinese Pegasus, not Israeli?

Providing the application code on GitHub reveals interesting information. Until now, we were all convinced that Pegasus was founded in the Israeli company NSO Group. However, there are Chinese comments in the code. In addition, the software connects to the Chinese technology servers of Tencent. This may raise doubts about the 100% Israeli origin of the program.

The app didn’t mention Pegasus at any point, or any reference to the monitoring system – but GW has no doubts what that is about.
