Rock fans will be tasting the best Yorkshire has to offer at this year’s Willowman Festival.

Nationally festival-goers are getting used to whacky world food options ranging from kangaroo burgers to barbequed worm snacks.

But the Willowman Festival, which is taking place at Hillside Rural Activities Park near Thirsk in June, will be celebrating the best in freshly cooked food and drink from suppliers across Yorkshire.

Thomas the Bakers, a high street name with over 30 outlets in North Yorkshire, will be offering cakes, pies, pasties and other local produce for the light biters in the crowd while the Dales Catering Company will be serving up a range of food sourced from farmers from the local area.

Knayton-based Pizza Loco will be on site with its replica steam engine oven providing fresh pizza using top quality Yorkshire produce.

And Northallerton-based Wall’s County Town Brewery will once again be sponsoring the Willow Wobbly Stage at the festival and offering a range of real ales including a beer specially brewed for the event.

Festival organiser Steve Williams said: “Festival goers are more discerning nowadays and in response to this we have brought together some of the best food, beers and ales the region has to offer to give a real flavour of Yorkshire.

“This culinary backdrop coupled with the great musical line-up we have this year should really make this a festival to remember and once again we have kept ticket prices low to make the event affordable for all.”

New Model Army, The Wonderstuff, Space and The Orb sound system head an eclectic line-up at this year’s four day family friendly festival which takes place over the summer solstice weekend from the 20th to the 23rd of June.

Attracting thousands of music fans from across the UK, this is the fourth Willowman Festival which is now becoming an established event on the national music calendar after being nominated and short listed for Best New Festival in the UK Festival Awards.

Tickets are available £70 per adult which includes up to four nights camping, three days of live music and parking. Family tickets are priced at £160. For further details on the festival line up and early bird ticket offer visit
