Sigourney Weaver, 71, reveals how a vegan diet contributes to her lasting beauty – and shares her first tip to keep fit.

It’s been more than 41 years since Sigourney Weaver first rose to fame as Ellen Ripley in Ridley Scott’s hit science fiction movie Alien, and at 71 years old, she looks better than ever.

Talking to Excellent This week’s magazine, the American actress revealed the secret of how to stay fit and healthy in her seventies.

One part of keeping her looking ageless is following a vegan diet, which she tries to instill in her combos.

The star, who is currently working on Avatar series, said director James Cameron ensures that vegetarian food is always featured on set.

“[James] The Ghostbusters star said Cameron is also a vegan, so we have vegans in the movies.

She added: “My husband and daughter are really trying hard to be vegetarian at least.”

Sigourney has been married to theater director Jim Simpson for 36 years and they have a 30-year-old daughter, Charlotte.

Another tip Sigourney has for staying younger than her years is to simply work hard and stay active.

“Working in this field keeps me in shape.” She told the publication that stamina is probably one of the most important things to have.

Her comments come after she admits it T Magazine In October, she didn’t want anyone to think she was “too big” to shoot underwater scenes in Avatar 2.

I had some concerns. But that’s what the training was for. And I really wanted to do that. I didn’t want anyone to think, “Oh, she’s old, she can’t do this.”

Weaver was unable to give any details about the plot but revealed that she dived in Hawaii and Key West, Florida, and learned to hold her breath for six minutes.
