Hear the Future – The challenges of the acoustic environment are the theme of the conference for architects, parents and the world of science, which will take place on February 16, 2021 at 10:00. The Online Encounter is the summary of the fifth edition of the anti-noise campaign, titled “I Hear Good Voices.” The aim of the project is to educate health, especially children, from noise and to promote good practices in the construction of acoustics.

A third of Poles of all ages live with excessive noise, including the majority of primary school children. Our hearing is slowly deteriorating, affecting our overall quality of life. Loud noise is the most common cause of psychomotor hyperactivity in children. The number of hard of hearing children is increasing so rapidly that specialists are beginning to classify the hearing impairment as a cultural disease.– says Hannah Wilenska of the Philharmonic Education Center in Szczecin.

During the online conference, representatives of the scientific community, activists from the third sector, and employees of acoustics-related companies and medical centers will speak. In their speeches, they will cover topics such as: city acoustics, noise in public spaces, the psychology of hearing, hearing health, new technologies in the field of working with acoustic and acoustic design. You will encounter theoretical knowledge with artistic and educational practices.
