Opening of the 2021/2022 academic year in UKSW with the participation of Tomasz Rzymkowski, Foreign Minister at MEiN

Today is October 11 this year. There was a festive opening ceremony for the academic year at Cardinal Stefan Wyszyński University in Warsaw. The ceremony was attended by Tomasz Rzymkowski, MEiN’s Minister of Foreign Affairs.

In his speech, the Deputy Minister of Education and Science emphasized the importance of the university’s sponsor in the academic community. – I would like to thank the Rector of the University for dedicating a lot to the sponsor of the University. The academic community can glean handfuls from the cardinal’s teachings and position. Cardinal Stefan Wiesinski was primarily a scholar, doctor of law, statesman, and educator of the nation, but above all a great defender of human dignity, and a listener to human needs. He was a man who served the truth, a very courageous man, and I wish all these traits that characterize the cardinal to the entire academic community – confirmed Deputy Minister Thomas Rzymovsky.

Prior to the opening, Cardinal Mass was presided over by Kazimierz Nycz, Senior Chancellor of Church Departments in UKSW. During the event, a message from the President of the Republic of Poland, Andrzej Duda, was read.

The ceremony was attended by representatives of the clergy, state authorities, representatives of the academic and educational environment and representatives of institutions with which the university cooperates.

Cardinal Stefan Wyszyński University is a dynamically developing university. Currently, it consists of 12 faculties and 43 fields of study. UKSW educates over 10,000 students. At the request of professors and students, on campus in the ul. Wóycicki, a church was built. St. Joseph.
