KMP Piotrków Trybunalski

Children from the self-government Kindergarten No. 26 in Piotrków Trybunalski visited the police station in Piotrków. A group of 40 children was cared for by an officer from the district, he talked with the youngest about safety, and the parents of the four-legged officers displayed the skills their men use in daily service.

Police officers from Piotrków are happy to host children in the walls of the Piotrków unit. Such visits are an opportunity to teach the youngest safe behavior that will avoid dangerous events not only on the way to or from kindergarten, but also during outdoor games, traveling with parents by car or communicating with a stranger.

Only the gradual education of children, their awareness of the threats that they may have to deal with, will allow to reduce the events in which the young are involved. The policeman told the children about making the uniform. He skillfully combined the transmission of information with the form of gameplay. Kids can play a policeman for a while, try on the police uniform and learn about the equipment the cops use in their daily service. Demonstrations of sniffer dogs’ skills stirred the most emotion. The preschoolers had their fingerprints on the dactyloscopic cards, which they took home to celebrate the anniversary of their meeting with the uniform – says Dagmara Mościńska of KMP Piotrków Trybunalski.

In the end the children answered the questions posed by the officer. They remembered valuable advice: they all knew the emergency number 112 well, knew how to properly pass information to the services when something bad happened.
