Spring is certainly on its way, in a bid to help shoppers freshen up their lifestyle and adopt a new healthy regime ahead of summer 2014, the Bridges Sunderland is holding a drop in Wellbeing Clinic in the Central Square this Friday 21 March from 10am-5pm.

Addressing key factors of keeping healthy, the Clinic will include Boots Pharmacy who will be offering optical and stop smoking advice, retailer Debenhams will showcase the very best of affordable workout attire, The Body Shop will conduct skin consultations, mini makeovers and hand massages and Costa Coffee will keep visitors hydrated with freshly made, healthy juices.

Additionally, a Weight Watchers representative will be on hand to help shoppers focus on goal weights, measure their BMI and offer top tips on staying focussed. A representative from Sunderland Yoga Studio and a holistic healer will also be part of the Clinic to assist shoppers on their wellbeing bid.

Andy Bradley, centre director at the Bridges Sunderland, said: “It’s easy to let the good intensions from the beginning of the year slip by. We want to provide a helping hand and motivate our shoppers to ensure it is not too late to get back on track. Healthy habits can become a way of life and can be a great example to set to friends and family.

“We have a range of retailers in the centre that can help inspire workouts and meals, plus Boots Pharmacy can conduct lifestyle tests in store such as blood pressure. Our Wellbeing Clinic is a one-stop-shop for members of the community who have the passion and desire to live a healthier, more active lifestyle but need a bit of guidance to do so.”

Claire Inan, area service manager at Weight Watchers, said: “As summer approaches, now is the perfect time to challenge yourself to clean up your diet and lifestyle. The Wellbeing Clinic is a great idea as those looking to shape up can find a range of information in one place.”

The Clinic is open to all and does not require an appointment.
