The US national team is one of the two teams – with the exception of Turkey – that are undefeated after six rounds of matches. The Americans top the table with full points and have lost one set so far – in the match with Brazil. The German women have won two matches and suffered four defeats so far.

The FIVB has been organizing the League of Nations since 2018. It is a continuation of the World Grand Prix event that took place in 1993-2017. The US team has won two previous editions. The 2020 games have been canceled due to the coronavirus pandemic. The 2021 edition will be played in a “safe bubble” in Rimini, Italy.
