After qualifying for the 2021 US Open Grand Slam, in which she was eliminated in the second round, Ursula Radwiska (WTA 215) took a breather from the start. On Sunday, she joined the fight for the main ladder of the WTA 250 event in Portorož, but she wouldn’t leave the Slovenian resort happy.

Ranked at the “Eight”, the Krakow player played against Samantha Murray Sharan (WTA 264). In the first set, the tennis player made up for a break twice, and then came out 4: 3. But in the end, the British team won the opening match, scoring a key break in the ninth game.

At the start of the second batch, Murray Sharan made a quick run and then moved on to the score 2-0. Then Radwańska decided that she would not continue this duel. After 63 minutes, Bulka scratched at 4:6, 0:2. The official reason for this decision is not yet known.

Thus, no Polish actor will play in the main arc in Portorož. Magdalena Froch and Katarzina Kawa, who had entered the qualifying stage earlier, withdrew.
