British carrier EasyJet has had to reduce the number of seats on its Airbus A319 from 156 to 150. British airlines are facing staff shortages, and thanks to this decision, planes EasyJet will be able to fly with three crew members instead of four.

Under British aviation law, there must be at least one cabin crew member for every 50 seats on an aircraft, The Independent reports. He adds that the last row of seats will not be available on planes.

EasyJest, Britain’s largest low-cost airline, has 126 Airbus A319s in its fleet. About 60 of them operate out of Great Britain and the number of seats will be limited to these planes, according to “The Independent”.
