Due to the new platform through which Disney+ penetrates many European countries, the studio will stop broadcasting Fox and Disney Junior in three countries. But not in Poland.
The studio does not intend to deny Polish viewers, especially the younger generation, access to its channels, at least for the time being. What is the reason for that?
Disney studios shut down channels
Disney closes its Fox and Disney Junior channels in three countries, and possibly more, in Germany, Austria and Switzerland. The program, which includes series, cartoons and all kinds of animation, will be broadcast on the streaming platform, the new Disney VOD platform – Disney +, in October of this year.

Meanwhile, some products previously released on Disney Junior are making their way to the Disney Channel. The only channels maintained in these countries are National Geographic and National Geographic Wild. Disney won’t touch it.
Disney channels are not closed in Poland
The display of Disney Channels in our country will not change. All of the above channels will remain unchanged in the TV program. While Disney Channels is gradually being introduced to the streaming platform in most countries, such as the UK, nothing will change in our country.

At the moment, Polish viewers still have access to a fairly large selection of Disney channels. These include: Disney Channel, Disney XD, Disney Junior, Fox, Fox Comedy, National Geographic, National Geographic Wild, and National Geographic People.
Disney+ – New Streaming Platform Launch Delayed
Is the reason for not removing Disney Channels because of the delay in launching the Disney + VOD platform in Poland? Of course, we cannot give a definitive answer to such a question.
However, one thing is true, the launch of the Disney VOD platform in our country is long overdue. Some time ago, information appeared about the second half of 2021, something was reported about the summer months, while Disney does not have specific details. The studio is silent, which could indicate that the Disney+ premiere has been postponed again. It remains only to wait for some information on this topic.
