In accordance with the provisions of the revised Teacher Charter, from May 1, 2022 to December 31, 2022, average teacher salaries will increase by 4.4%. The new regulations will also make it possible to increase teachers’ salaries from May 1 – an increase in average teacher salaries will lead to an increase in teacher minimum rates and salary allowances.

Teachers will receive an increase by June 30 this year at the latest, with compensation from May 1, 2022. For this purpose, educational support has been increased by PLN 1671 million. The funds proposed in the law will come from the special purpose reserve of the state budget, intended for regime changes in the financing of local government units, including the financing of educational tasks.

The president signed the amendment to the law on April 28, and it will enter into force the day after its publication in the Laws Journal.

At the same time, we would like to inform you that under the Prime Minister’s decision in May, the Government and then Parliament will begin work on the promotion of teachers. The changes will also result in significant salary increases of more than ten percent for trainee teachers and contract teachers.
