The removal of Donald Trump from social media heralds a dangerous trend, Adam Andruskiewicz, the foreign minister in the Prime Minister’s Chancellery, said on Radio Szczecin at Evening.

YouTube, Facebook and Twitter decided, after Donald Trump’s supporters attacked the Capitol Building, to block the accounts of the US President on these platforms. Incitement to riot was given as an official reason.

– Social platforms have shown that because you can block the leader of the most powerful global power, you can actually block every citizen, or simply exclude them from public debate, because social platforms have become monopolized on the Internet today for public debate – said Andruszkiewicz.

Behind every large platform, there is a specific person who can impose their will on billions – added the former head of the National Board of Broadcasting, Marek Markevich. One person with a lot of money is able to influence the course of events or the way of thinking, as politics and ideology are clearly combined.

After it was removed from Facebook, President Donald Trump said he is considering creating his own social media platform.
