One of the UK’s leading girl bands Stooshe officially began the countdown to North East Live at a free show.
Stooshe, whose debut singles Love Me and Black Heart both charted in the top five, are one of 11 top pop acts performing at North East Live at Sunderland’s Stadium of Light on Saturday, June, 22.
To mark eight weeks until the big North East show, the band appeared live at the Metrocentre where fans enjoyed the hits and their new single Slip which is due for release in early May.
Stooshe’s special performance was also form part of Fashion Live – a four-day event showcasing clothes from many of the Metrocentre’s leading retailers.
This includes River Island, New Look and Topshop, who will feature in up to four fashion shows a day from Thursday until Sunday (April 28), including one with a special festival-inspired North East Live theme.
Gary Hutchinson, Commercial Director at SAFC, said: “North East Live will be the biggest concert the North East has ever seen. The performance by Stooshe gave people the chance to enjoy a sneak preview and plan their wardrobe thanks to the style advice on offer at Fashion Live.”
North East Live, which is one of three concerts being held at the Stadium of Light this summer, will offer more than five hours of live music, including performances by Little Mix, Amelia Lily, James Arthur, Conor Maynard, Union J and The Vamps.
Music fan Amy Barker said: “Stooshe were amazing! They all sang totally live and the harmonies were brilliant!”
