Some Netflix customers receive a message on their screens asking to create their own accounts, if they are not watching with subscriber – Collected by CNBC. It turned out that this is the result of tests conducted by the broadcast portal.

It reads exactly: “If you don’t live with the owner of this account, you need your own account to continue watching.”

So far, the site hasn’t paid much attention to sharing codes between friends or neighbors.

In Poland, many people also reduce their costs by buying a package that extends to several screens and will share the bill with people who sometimes live in other cities.

How common is this method? The answer is provided by Magid Research. According to its data, every third subscriber (about 33% of all Netflix users) shares their password with at least one person.
