SCOTTISH rockers Biffy Clyro have announced their biggest UK arena tour to date kicking off at Metro Radio Arena in Newcastle on March 20 next year.

Fresh from a triumphant return to the live arena with festival dates which included iTunes, Download, the Isle of Wight and Rockness, Biffy Clyro.

The tour will follow the January 28th release of their eagerly anticipated new double-album ‘Opposites’, their first live dates since the triumphant shows this summer which included iTunes, Download, the Isle of Wight and Rockness festivals.

Again produced by Garth ‘GGGarth’ Richardson in Los Angeles, ‘Opposites’ signals the band’s growing ambition with a 22 track spread across two discs:  ‘The Sand at the Core of Our Bones’ and ‘The Land at the End of Our Toes’. A deluxe version of ‘Opposites’ adds a DVD which contains a feature-length documentary which examines the making of the album. Fans who pre-order the album will receive the instant gratification track ‘Stingin’ Belle’, the accompanying video for which is now online.

Biffy Clyro’s touring in support of ‘Only Revolutions’ – which earned a Mercury Prize nomination and sold in excess of 600,000 copies – saw them elevated to arena and festival headlining status as they played three sold-out UK tours which included a landmark show at Wembley Arena. Their status as one of Britain’s most exciting bands was reflected with Best Live Band awards from both NME and Q in 2011.
