At the moment, the government is not considering a specific solution to the restrictions during Easter, but the position is that if there is room, we will take lenient decisions – Health Minister Adam Niedzelsky said on Wednesday.

On Wednesday, the Minister of Health was asked about the government’s plans regarding the level of epidemic restrictions during Easter.

The government’s position is to take courageous and easy steps as possible. “We are now accelerating the third wave, and of course this excludes the possibility of making these bold decisions, but in general we must clearly state that our tolerance in the number of cases is definitely increasing,” said Niedzelsky.

He pointed out that “the vaccination campaign and the population immunity that we gain through disease, the number of infections that exceed an average of 10-12 thousand will not be painful and there will be relatively fewer hospitalizations.”

Niedzelsky added that at the moment the government is not considering a specific solution to the restrictions during Easter. “But the position is that as long as there is room, we will take lenient decisions,” the health minister said. (PAP)
