Another series of world hockey matches is behind us. At noon, the national teams of Great Britain, Denmark, the United States and Kazakhstan played their matches. In the evening, hockey players from Finland and Norway as well as from Switzerland and Sweden overtake the sticks.

Croup A.

The next day, the British team played Denmark. The British have lost two games so far, but in good shape. Thrillingly, the Danes defeated the Swedes, and surrendered to Switzerland.

The match began with a surprise, with the islanders leading after Ben O’Connor’s goal. After a moment Julian Jacobsen responded, and in the 14th minute Niklas Jensen put Denmark ahead. The second half did not score any goals, but in the third half there was a sensation, as hockey players from Great Britain equalized in the 17th minute after a goal by Mike Hammond. The players were forced to play in overtime, as the Danes turned out to be better, and Marcus Laursen scored at the top.

In another meeting of this group, the Swedish national team faced Switzerland, and did not lose so far, after two defeats. Mobilized after the disastrous start of the tournament, the hockey players from the north got into the game well and after the first half they were a 2-0 lead after goals by Jasper Frodeen and Adrienne Kimbe.

Coroni did not slow down and in the second installment he scored twice again – first, after three minutes of play, Victor Olofsson scored a goal in the lead, and after a few minutes Froden entered the list of scorers for the second time. In the last period, the Swedes decided to confirm a return to the match by scoring three goals in a row, which were scored by Negrin, Lundkvist and Tomirens. After a big win, the eleven-time world champion had the opportunity to advance to the knockout stage.

Sweden-Switzerland 7-0 (2-0, 2-0, 3-0)

Group B.

After their victory over the Canadian national team, Kazakhstan took over the US team, which unexpectedly defeated Finland. The Americans took the lead in the sixth minute of the first copy, and Adam Clendingning sent Puck into the net. In the second period, Trevor Moore raised 2: 0, and in the last twenty minutes Jack Drury shot the competitors. Thanks to the victory, the USA team moved to third place in the table, for which he received a promotion.

USA-Kazakhstan 3-0 (1-0, 1-0, 1-0)

The Finns started their game at 19:15. After the unexpected defeat to Kazakhstan, it was time for the duel with Norway, which defeated the Italians, and earlier surrendered to the Germans.

To the amazement of the hockey connoisseurs, it was the Norwegians who took the lead in the second minute of the match, following a goal by Olympian Mattis. However, the defenders managed to find a way to defend the Norwegian after several minutes thanks to Eero Baakarinen.

In the next 20 minutes, the Finnish hockey players enjoyed two goals from Anton Lundel and Kim Nossiainen. The third period was an interesting one from the start – just like the first time, the Norwegians scored a connection goal from the start with a shot from Tobias Lindstrom. But their joy was short-lived, because Jerry Inal hit Arentzen a few minutes later, and Hannes Bjornen put the point above “me”.
