The former Karol Schipler mansion, where the Museum of Cinematography is located, has been completed in Lodz.

On Friday, the refurbishment work for the Museum of Cinematography at Carol Schipler’s Palace was completed. The renovation work included the construction of a new staircase with the installation of a passenger elevator, local reinforcement of roofs, insulation of foundations and foundation walls, protection of the facility and its combinations from moisture, and the adaptation of the building to the needs of persons with disabilities. Adaptation of space to exhibition space, modernization of sanitary, electrical and telecommunications installations (including fire protection), as well as purchasing equipment for setting up new exhibitions. The works aim to showcase the valuable collections of the Museum of Cinematography in Lodz and expand the museum’s cultural offer.

The renovation project is being carried out by the Museum of Cinematography in ód as part of the integrated regional investments of the Lodz metropolitan area of ​​the European Regional Development Fund as part of the Regional Operational Program of the Lodz County for the period 2014-2020 – the sixth priority axis revitalization and the autonomous potential of the region, Action VI.1. Cultural heritage and cultural infrastructure, sub-procedure VI.1.1 Cultural heritage and cultural infrastructure – Integrated regional investments.
