Rick Moranis’s last movie role was on screen in 1997

Rick Moranes, who starred in Honey I Shrunk, children recover after being attacked in New York City.

Police said the 67-year-old Ghostbusters representative was walking down Central Park West near 70th Street at 7:30 a.m. local time when he was punched in the head.

Authorities posted security footage on Twitter showing the attack on Friday.

The video shows a man running and giving Mr. Moranis to the ground before moving away.

The police have yet to make any arrests and have requested the public’s assistance in identifying the suspect.

Mr. Moranis went to the hospital and reported pain in his head, hip and back before reporting the crime at the station.

His management team told CBS News he was “fine, but grateful for everyone’s ideas and best wishes.”

The Canadian actor rose to fame in the 1980s as a member of the cast of Second City Television (SCTV). He became a household name all over the world after appearing in the popular movie Ghostbusters.

But he has mostly remained out of sight since his wife died of cancer in 1991, and he chose to focus on raising his children.

He is set to reprise his role as crazy inventor and family man Wayne Szalinsky in Shrunk, a sequel to Honey I Shrunk the Kids.
