New number Coronavirus cases Linked to Pennsylvania and the University of Exeter area again.

The most recent MSOA government cluster maps, covering the period September 22-28, show that 52 cases were confirmed within the Pennsylvania area and the university, up from 48 cases from September 19 to 25.

A further 25 cases have been confirmed so far in Exeter September 22-28, compared to 11 cases September 26-27 – with not all cases necessarily linked to the university.

In addition to a cluster of 52 cases in Pennsylvania and the university, there are currently nine cases in the St. James Park and Hoborn area, of which seven were in Middlemore and Sutton, and four were in St. Leonard.

The lump is only recorded when three or more cases are confirmed in a period of seven days.

For the 14 days prior to Sunday, October 11, college students who live within the city are required to never meet anyone inside with anyone who is not part of their family.

The University of Exeter has 25,000 students and it has been confirmed that the number of students isolated on campus and halls of residence is around 100 students on the city campus.

Across the rest of Devon, there are currently 12 other groups with three or more cases.
